Valley Leisure strives to make its gym a welcoming all inclusive environment which is accessible to all ages and abilities. Fully qualified members of the fitness team are always available to offer support, answer questions and keep you on the right path to a healthy and active lifestyle.
You will be introduced to the gym with an induction with a member of the fitness team who will develop a personalised fitness programme for you and give you step by step guidance to the exercises. Reviews will be booked to keep you on track and see how you are progressing.

Main Gym: With state of the art equipment, you can have a full body workout on the fixed resistance machinery. We also have a functional training area which includes a rig, battle ropes, two racks and kettle bells. Functional training exercises can help you perform daily life activities more easily and without injuries. It mainly involves weight bearing activities. All of our CV equipment includes a touchscreen to help guide your workout, Freeview TV, and Virtual Active technology to transport you to different locations. They are also compatible with external devices.
Ladies Gym: This is a smaller area which includes the main pieces of equipment for a beneficial workout. The functional training area includes a twin cable multi gym, kettlebells and VIPRs. As with the main gym, all of the CV equipment is device compatible. There are also TV screens in the ladies gym. As well as this, there is also a free weight area which includes dumbbells, benches and bars.
Strength Gym: Our strength gym comprises of robust, heavy duty equipment for a heavier training style. It includes a twin cable crossover, 4 way multi-station, plate loading full body equipment and dumbbells ranging from 2kg – 65kg.
Functional Training space – includes Rig: Functional training imitates daily movements and exercises to improve strength, mobility and flexibility. Our functional training equipment can provide a complete body workout and help you towards your fitness goals. The functional training equipment at Andover Leisure Centre includes a TRX, battleropes, kettlebells and more to achieve an intense full-body workout. Every Body Active: If you have recently been ill or suffered an injury, you may be referred by your GP to the Valley Leisure ‘Every Body Active’ scheme. Every Body Active fitness instructors will create a rehabilitation programme for you in the gym. There are also swimming and exercise classes specifically for this scheme that you will be able to access.
Teen Fitness: Teen Fitness Gym induction courses for 13–17 year olds run regularly at Andover Leisure Centre.
Building on the Young Person’s Membership for 13-17 year olds, the Teen Fitness course is a requirement for teens between 13 and 17 to use the gym. It offers a brilliant opportunity to build confidence, stay in shape, increase fitness and find out about all the benefits of regular exercise – you don’t even have to be good at PE!Each teen fitness course runs across five days. All five sessions must be attended to pass. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate, gym programme card and will gain access to the gym through membership or by paying as you go. If your child has any special requirements, please let us know upon booking so that we can arrange additional instructor support for the class.
Teens aged 14 years and older are also able to attend a selection of exercise classes at Andover Leisure Centre. To see which classes you can join, look for a star next to the class name on the Studio class timetable.
